On October 21, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade will host the IV Interregional Uzbek-Kazakh Business Forum in Samarkand. The event aims to bolster bilateral trade and economic ties, foster direct connections between business leaders from both nations, and deepen collaboration across key sectors such as agriculture, industry, services, and construction. Discussions will also cover mutual investment opportunities. Kazakhstan currently ranks among Uzbekistan’s top three trading partners. From January to August 2023, bilateral trade reached $2.6 billion, marking a 7.6% rise compared to the same period the previous year. Advancing joint projects is expected to boost the frequency and value of cross-border trade transactions. The upcoming forum will undoubtedly play a key role in expanding economic cooperation between Astana and Tashkent.
